The best innovative product in the field of medicine, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals

On November 28, 2018, within the framework of XI St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum, held at the site of Expoforum convention and exhibition centre, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the 2018 Annual Competition “The best innovative product of St. Petersburg” 2018

In the nomination “The best innovative product in the field of medicine, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals” Laser technology centre took the 2nd place for the development of innovative laser device for treatment of onychomycosis (nail fungus). The innovation of the device lies in the fact that for the first time in many years the cost of such a device has been significantly reduced through the use of new technology for this field of application. The cost of АСТ 1064 for treatment of onychomycosis is several times lower than domestic counterparts. Availability of registration documents is also important, which allows using the device in all medical institutions of the country.

The contest for awarding the St. Petersburg Government Prize for the best innovative product is held by the Committee on Industrial Policy and Innovations of St. Petersburg for the fifth year and has traditionally become an important tool to support St. Petersburg companies and encourage them to create new high-tech innovative products.
